Welcome to the Ashtabula GLBT Outreach Alliance!

No, we are not a dating site.  No, we are not here to take over Ashtabula County.  No, we are not here to destroy the rights of those who have faith.  No, we are not here for the purpose of rubbing out lifestyle in the faces of those who do not agree with it. 

We ARE here for the purpose of bridging the gap between the GLBT Community and the rest of Ashtabula County and the surrounding areas. 

We ARE here for the GLBT people who are in need of a place to feel at home. 

We ARE here for the family members and friends of the GLBT people of Ashtabula County to help them as they come to terms with their loved one's sexuality. 

We ARE here to help those who are having trouble with the coming out process and provide them a system of support. 

We ARE here to reach out to the government and the nation to show that we, the GLBT people, are indeed still people and deserve the rights that are afforded to all other people.

2nd Annual AGLBTOA Family Picnic

The AGLBTOA Family Picnic was a success this year!  We want to thank all of you who showed up and took part in this year's event!  Also, we want to thank our staff for everything that they did to make it possible! 

Message From the Director
JULY 2010

In the 1970's, a leader emerged for only a short period of time.  This man, who spoke out against those who came against the GLBT Community and brought about real change, was a Mr. Harvey Milk. 

This month is Gay Pride Month.  It is so much more than the parades, the parties and the picnics.  It is more than hanging a flag on your front porch or wearing a rainbow button as you walk through the mall.  It is about demanding CHANGE! 

This speech ends with "...and you, and you and you...gotta give 'em hope!"  That is what we are about here at the AGLBTOA.  It is time that we stop standing in the back of the crowd clapping when something is said that we agree with...we need to be at the front of the line demanding that we are treated equally!
